Wake Forest-Rolesville - Tuesday, September 4 - Home

Today is

Green Hope 4 vs. Wake Forest 1

Green Hope hosted their first home game in 2 weeks and got off to a good start early as Kyle Bandy served a great ball from the right wing to the back post where Justin Taylor headed it to the back across the goal into the net for a 1-0 lead. Then, Magnus Sorensen found a little bit of space in the right corner of the box and dropped the ball back to Justin Smith who placed a superb side footed shot to the back post for a the 2-0 lead.

Wake Forest managed just one shot in the entire half, but unfortunately the shot surprised the Green Hope keeper and the half ended 2-1.

In the second half, Green Hope capitalized again as Chad Drimer served a ball to Martin Murphy, who coolly finished his chance. The scoring ended as David Chandler sprung Martin Murphy loose down the left side of the penalty box, where Martin calmly beat the keeper again to make it 4-1.

Green Hope has many things to work on before they start conference play next week. The team has no other games this week and will have time to prepare for a three game session next week.
